Hello, I'm Emma Pollock. I am currently a student at the University of Rochester majoring in Digital Media Studies and minoring in Business and Computer Science.
I have always been in touch with my creative side since a young age. From painting to photography, I always searched for a new way to express myself and create something beautiful. I began delving into photography at the end of middle school. I would steal my dad’s camera and return it an hour later with over 600 pictures of a family of ducks.
As my interest in photography grew, I was gifted his digital camera after he upgraded, and my photography skills grew. In high school, I was photo editor for my school’s newspaper, winning multiple awards for my portfolio at a conference at the New House School at Syracuse University. At the same time, I began taking more pictures of the wonderful people around me, and created my own photography business as a result. I began taking senior portraits of my classmates, along with other requests.
Now in college, I did some soul searching, eventually leading me to the wonderful major of Digital Media Studies. I am currently exploring my interests in interaction, graphic, and web design taking courses in computer programming, design, human-computer interaction, and digital art. As my knowledge base grows, I expect my interest to as well, and I am excited to see where my education and creations take me.
